You're invited to this free event! I'll be presenting The Desert Grocery Store—Harvesting the Desert Bean Trees: Palo Verde, Mesquite, and Ironwood including how to identify, when they're ripe, desert "edamame," flour making, flower popcorn, recipes and tastings at 10:00 A.M. on August 18th!
A celebration of our incredible edible desert! The free event begins Saturday, Aug.18, 2018, at 7:00 a.m. with a guided hike to forage prickly pear fruit. It is followed by a pancake breakfast at the local VFW at 405 Main St, Superior, AZ 85173, guest speakers, food education, local vendors, food trucks, an art gallery, and a cactus lounge with beverages and live music throughout the day.
