Solar cooking is a safe, easy, fun and practical skill which uses the energy of direct sunlight to heat, cook or pasteurize food and water. Learn about different types of solar cooking devices, food safety, recipes, and more in this informative class.

about the instructor:

Kari Spencer and her family own and operate The Micro Farm Project, a tiny urban farm where vegetable gardens abound and small livestock animals provide her family with fun and food.  Kari is a Master Gardener and instructor in the Urban Farming department at SWIHA.
