While the weather is cool, it's a great time to build your rain barrel.  About 8 inches of rain falls in the Phoenix metro area annually and every inch of rain on a 1,000 square foot roof area yields 600 gallons of water! Why not capture that gift from the skies so you can put more of it to work in your garden?

In this hands-on workshop, participants will start by learning how a rain barrel plays a role in an overall water harvesting plan. Everyone will then be guided in converting a re-purposed 55 gallon plastic drum into a water harvester with a tap and overflow.

Barrel, all materials and instruction sheet will be provided for a materials fee of $60 for one barrel or $100 for two barrels. (Please note that the two barrel price is a special offering for this session only.)

Please note: RSVP in advance is REQUIRED for this event. Attendance is limited to 10 participants.
