about the class:

Earthworks, the essential first step to water harvesting and the most cost effective requiring little more than a shovel, pick axe, rakes and mulch, Ryan will guide you through assessing a site to determine where and how creating berms, swales, rock work, and depressions in the soil will capture water and hold it for use in the landscape. You will learn how to determine the water harvesting potential of your property, how to direct the water to your plants that need it most, how to integrate earthworks into future collection systems, water requirements for both native vegetation and fruit bearing trees, and how to build soil to increase your water harvesting success.

about the instructor:

Ryan Wood shares with you his extensive knowledge in water harvesting and permaculture design along with his skills and enthusiasm for creating sustainable livelihoods.
